Images shown on “Prepare” and “Present”are from the “Great Ocean Robe Story” prepared by Judy Putnam both as a pdf and actual photo album presented to Blanche.
Below, Judy at a sewing sesshin led by Blanche in Arcata, CA, in 2004.

To upper right, pieces are sewn at Sanshinji, Great Vow, Chapel Hill, and Green Gulch Farm, only a few of the participating sanghas.
Center right, panels ready for assembly. The robe grows and grows thanks to the many helping hands until finally, all of the pieces become one.

Prepare

Above, sewing teachers working intently on the robe. Finished pieces in foreground.
Below, end of day at BZC sesshin, patches/ties/squares to left, ready to attach.

First, Sewing Teachers and sanghas across the USA receive packets prepared by Yuko Okumura and begin to assemble and stitch the pieces together.
